ENHANCED ACCESS SERVICE
What is ‘Enhanced Access’?
Enhanced access is the term given to appointments with clinicians outside of normal opening hours, which may include evenings or weekends.
Enhanced access is about giving patients the convenience and choice to have their appointment at a time that better suits them or based on their particular needs. Enhanced access appointments are delivered through “hubs”. This may mean patients need to travel to a different practice than their own, if they decide to book an enhanced access appointment.
How are these appointments arranged?
If you would like to book into one of our clinics, your registered GP must be in one of the Primary Care Networks that we cover. If you are unsure of this, please click here – PCNs. If your practice is, please contact them and ask for them to check availability for our services. However, please note that all GP, ANP and Minor Ailment appointment requests MUST be triaged by your practice initially.
